Offshore Sailing School has an immediate hands/on
managerial job available working full-time at the all-new Hawk’s
Cay Resort on Duck Key. If you currently live on a boat and have
wheels (economical way to live in the Keys unless you are in the
market for a home); and have the following qualifications, please

We welcome couples who can work together successfully.
HERE ARE THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Excellent sailing and teaching skills (At least one of you
must either possess or be able to achieve US SAILING Basic Keelboat
and Cruising Instructor certifications, as well as U.S.Coast
Guard minimum OUPV license – small boat as well as big
boat skills and experience are important.)
- At least one of you must be capable of teaching these courses:
Basic Keelboat, Performance Sailing, Basic Cruising and Bareboat
Cruising, plus coach corporate teams with no sailing experience
to successfully work together to cross the finish line first,
in four hours our Corporate Sail-Race Challenge® programs.
- Both must be willing and able to do two-hour (or more sailing
clinics) and sunset sails.
- Great people and sales skills – your job includes liaison
with resort management and other water activities to sell sailing
lessons, make presentations at Manager’s Parties, personally
man the lobby activities booth to sell sailing courses and lessons,
have total awareness of what is happening at the resort as well
at the home office in Ft. Myers, Florida.
- Managerial, can-do and organization skills – your job
will also entail a whole host of tasks as outlined below:
a. Manage branch course and instructor schedules
b. Coordinate instructor/boat inventory
c. Judicious communication with headquarters
d. Keep the fleet in pristine condition at all times
e. Insure that the Offshore Standards of Excellence are met
or exceeded at all times
f. Make sure our brochures and fliers are out in the many
places where resort customers can see them (with approval
from resort management) with nothing outdated
g. Ensure at all times Management at Hawk’s Cay Resort
is proud to have us there
h. Hiring and firing part-time staff
COMPENSATION
Each will have a base salary depending on the skills that are
brought to the table. A good part of this total compensation package
is also based on the number of regular course students taught,
sailing lessons, sunset cruises and performance in the role(s)
for which you are hired.
