that steer your life.

.

Navigation Courses come with US SAILING Certification. Bundle
them together and get on the Fast Track to Ocean
Passage Making.
If you are indeed moving towards making
a passage beyond the sight of land, your first ocean passage sailing
experience will be most memorable. Choose your training wisely.
These courses are designed for experienced
sailors who want to learn or practice blue water sailing techniques.
Ocean
Passage Making
Even if you live within
sight of the sea, it is easy to forget that our world is an ocean
world. The open ocean--that vast expanse of international waters--begins
just a few miles out and spreads across three-quarters of the
globe. It is a place that remains radically free, exciting, breathtakingly
beautiful and waiting to be explored.
Your Ocean Passage Making training takes
you from Tortola through the Anegada Passage and out to sea, logging
600 miles before you return to Tortola on the sixth day of your
trip. Your instructors are Finn Jenks and Robert Reeder –
certified at the highest US SAILING instructor certification level
to teach Celestial Navigation and Ocean Passage Making courses.
They will both be aboard during your passage, with three students
assigned to Jenks and three to Reeder as you stand watches on
this thrilling ocean voyage.
Picture yourself under sail, no land in
sight, taking day and night sights from a sextant and comparing
them to your GPS position. Planning your route, safety at sea
and standing watch round the clock is more than non-conventional
fun, it will prepare you for your own offshore passage one day.
