Bareboat Cruising Preparation for Two

This is a shore-based relaxing vacation with plenty of instruction and time for local attractions.

You stay ashore seven nights in a beautiful nautically appointed room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, with glorious sunsets to the west and miles of soft sandy beach stretching before you.

You sail and learn half a day each day in comprehensive on-water sessions. Your adventure culminates in a half day of sailing without the instructor on Saturday – a terrific graduation reward!

If you choose this schedule, your on-water sessions are private; classroom sessions ashore may have other students participating who are sailing in the opposite session each day.

Live Aboard Cruising for Two

You spend Sunday and Monday night at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa. Monday starts with a classroom session ashore, then a three-hour session with emphasis on docking and maneuvering in busy areas.

Tuesday morning you embark on your cruising adventure – learning the nuances of navigating, and handling a larger cruising boat under sail and power.

You live aboard and learn while cruising to interesting harbors and anchorages with an expert Offshore Sailing School cruising instructor.

Saturday, the two of you enjoy a mini-cruise on your own, returning to the Pink Shell docks Sunday by noon. The entire course is private.

Your Live Aboard Cruising Package for Two includes:

Fast Track to Cruising® for Two

If you are just beginning or have not taken a formal course, we suggest you take our renowned Fast Track to Cruising® Course – which combines the Learn to Sail course with Bareboat Cruising Preparation or Live Aboard Cruising.

Arrive Wednesday night and take the Learn to Sail course Thursday, Friday and Saturday in all-day private on-water sessions on an award winning Colgate 26. Sunday you’ll enjoy a half-day practice sail without the instructor on board and earn your Basic Keelboat Certification. Now you’re ready to jump right into the cruising course Monday morning.

Learn to Sail classroom sessions ashore each morning may include other students; your on-water instruction aboard the Colgate 26 is private.

The entire package includes three certifications in two courses: Learn to Sail and Bareboat Cruising Preparation or Live Aboard Cruising, with extra bonus days of sailing not normally found in our regular course schedules.

Fast Track to Cruising® includes:
